The Mikibo Food SectionThe major advantage of keeping a food diary is for its educational value. By seeing what you eat and which foods are adding the most energy and fat to your diet you are able to determine how best to adjust your dietary habits. When you first start keeping a food diary with Mikibo it may take some time. By setting up personal meals you will find the process gets much quicker if you can stick with it for a few days. The Day View Page
The "day view" page is where you add to and edit your food diary. 1. Go back to the week view pageTo return to the week view page click the "Week view" link at the top of the food diary table or click the "Food" tab. 2. Edit a diary entryIf you would like to edit a diary entry click the corresponding "edit" link in the right hand column of the food diary table. 3. Check your daily nutrient intakesYour total nutrient intakes are calculated for the foods in your food diary. You can check whether you are getting the required amount or are exceeding the recommended intakes for a variety of nutrients. Green indicates that you are getting the right amount where as red indicates an issue. Move your mouse over the red or green text to get an explanation. 4. Enter or remove a foodTo add a food to your diary click "Enter food" at the bottom of the table. This will take you to the food search page. Click "Remove an entry" to delete a previous entry. Click "Create a meal" to group foods that you commonly eat together such as cereal and milk. You can then save time by adding the meals to your food diary rather than individual foods. |
