The Mikibo Food SectionThe backbone of the Mikibo food section is a food database with over 11,000 foods from around the world. This database has over 30 nutritional values for each food. The database is comprehensive and is growing daily, however you will still find that some foods are missing from the database. In this case you are able to add the missing food by clicking the "add missing food" link that will appear at the bottom of the search results. The Food Search Page
When you select "Enter food" on the day view page you will be taken to the food search page. Here you can find foods to add to your food diary. The 20 foods that you most regularly add to your food diary will be displayed when you enter the food search page. 1. Go to your personal meals pageIf you have created any personal meals on the day view page then you can access them by clicking the "Your personal meals" link at the top of the 20 favorite foods table. 2. Search for a foodEnter a description of the food in the text box at the top of the page, click "Search" and you will be shown the best matches for your search. The more detail you use to describe the food the better, for example "low fat swiss cheese" is better than "cheese". The best match for your search term will be at the top of the list. 3. View detailed information about a foodClick on the name of a food to view detailed nutritional facts for that food. 4. Add a food to your diaryTo add a food to your food diary click the corresponding "Add" link on the right side of the food results table. |
